Norma Andreu alias Cara Carmina:
Lecture Design + Social Media

The social media revolution has given us the power of reaching out and exposing ourselves to the world. This marketing tools are free and accessible to anyone. The digital world is part of our lives and we can choose to be part of it or not from a personal perspective but as artists is imperative we have a presence on it to be recognized, to network and also to be inspired. Beyond the technical knowledge of "how to use" each social network for branding and exposure they give us a great opportunity to share our stories as creators, collaborate and help each others.
Norma Andreu will talk about her own experience with her social networks and the way she use them, as well as sharing the great stories of collaborations and design projects which have become a reality for her design brand and which started in the virtual world. 

Norma Andreu
Norma Andreu is a multidisciplinary visual artist and entrepreneur from Mexico City who lives in Montreal since 2009. She is the creator of the design brand Cara Carmina and a published children illustrator.  She has a background in Graphic Design, Fine Arts and Children and Fashion Illustration. She studied in Mexico City (National Institute of Fine Arts), Florence (Palazzo Spinelli) and New York City (Parsons the New School for Design). Her design brand sells internationally over the website Etsy.com and over more than 100 independent boutiques all over Canada, US, UK and Australia.

Nothing Stops Detroit
Ausstellung im Designmonat Graz 2016 – 01. – 21.05.2016
Die mexikanische Künstlerin Norma Andreu alias Cara Carmina hält im Rahmen der Ausstellung Nothing Stops Detroit (s. Link unten) einen Vortrag zum Thema Design und soziale Medien. Die Ausstellung wurde von drei Studentinnen des Masterstudiengangs Ausstellungsdesign an der FH JOANNEUM konzipiert und ist von 1. bis 21. Mai zu sehen.
